Destination Imagination
Destination Imagination is a community-based program that builds participants' creativity, problem solving, and teamwork skills. Teams of five to seven members work together to apply creativity, critical thinking, and their particular talents to solve a Team Challenge. At Saugatuck Public Schools, we have DI teams for students in grades 3rd - 12th.
- DI is for students who enjoy a challenge. It takes teamwork skills, creativity, dedication, and commitment.
- DI is for creative problem solvers. Solving challenges is what it's all about.
- DI is for thinkers. It takes brainpower to solve problems in creative ways.
- DI is for hard workers. It requires work, time, and energy.
- DI is for students who work well with others. It takes the entire team working together to solve a challenge. Cooperation and collaboration are essential.
Student teams meet for 1 1/2 - 3 hours each week. As competition dates get closer, teams meet more often to prepare.
If you have questions about DI or are willing to coach a DI team, call Mrs. Gust at 857-2133 ext. 131 or email
