Library Media Services

Saugatuck Public Schools features two media centers, one in Douglas Elementary School and one in the middle school/high school complex.  Library staff maintain the text, media, and technology collections, help students and teachers utilize text and electronic materials, provide information and technology education, manage online subscriptions (DE Streaming, Google Apps for Education, Accelerated Reader, Type to Learn, World Book Online), troubleshoot AV and technology issues in the buildings, and provide support for presentations and productions.

Click on MS/HS or DES Library Media Centers on the left menu to learn more about these facilities.

In 2008 our automated library management systems were updated to an online service, Follett Destiny, making our catalogs openly available to anyone with an Internet connection.  Students and teachers can also log in to reserve books, create book lists, and check their accounts.  Destiny includes WebPaths Express, a built-in service that provides users with a list of links to web sites on the topics they are searching.

Click on Online Catalog on the left menu to search our collections.

World Book Online is a reference service for K-12 provided for our students and teachers and will login automatically for users within our school buildings.  Out-of-building users can obtain a user name and password from Mrs. Dehn at ldehn@saugatuckps.com.
