MS/HS Library Media Center
Saugatuck Middle/High School Library Media Center, which serves a student population of approximately 400, is staffed by a library media specialist and full-time parapro.
The library and its two labs feature a combination of Macs and PCs with high speed Internet access. Also available for classroom checkout are laptop carts, which utilize the building's wireless capability. All computers have access to Follett Destiny online library catalog and the subscription service World Book Online. The Macs are also fully loaded with iMovie, iPhoto, Keynote, Garage Band, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Google Earth, and Inspiration.
The library houses over 7,000 books and media and provides teachers with access to Discovery Education streaming videos.
In 2008 the audio-visual media in the building was updated. All old technologies (TVs, VCRs, and overhead projectors) were removed from classrooms and replaced with eBeam interactive whiteboards, data projectors, audio enhancement, and media carts with DVD combos, document cameras, and docking stations for the teacher MacBooks. The library media center also has DV camcorders, digital cameras, DVD burners, and data projectors available for staff to check out for classroom use.
